Abstract
The phytoplasma disease lethal yellowing could not be prevented by planthopper vector control or tetracycline treatment.
Resistance of Malayan Dwarf coconut palms has been incorporated successfully into tall coconut palms, curtailing losses in the Caribbean area, but not in Africa.
Additional breeding with Malaysia and Sarawak palms is suggested.
