Abstract
Red Earlib is a new red scab resistant cultivar, released by the Trento Section of the Experimental Institute of Fruit Culture apple breeding program.
It contains the Vf gene for scab resistance, derived from Malus floribunda 821. It is a ‘Red Delicious’ type with attractive fruit of good quality compared with commercial standards.
