Abstract
Sixty five samples of apple accessions were collected in Central Mexico and analysed by RAPD markers.
The highest distance observed in the dendrogram was 0.71; 113 polymorphic and 29 common bands were recorded.
Samples were separated in two main groups with common characteristics.
The first contains almost all of the genotypes related to Golden Delicious, including some mutants and hybrids; while the second group included most of the genotypes corresponding to red apples and, clonal rootstocks.
