Abstract
The response of different apple cultivars to various combinations of rootstocks and interstems is summarized.
Data presented are from test plantings made in 1956 and 1965, some of which has been reported in Proc. and J. ASHS. The variation in growth and fruiting of interstem stions is caused by variation in plant material, length of interstems, and by inherent vigour of cultivar.
