Abstract
Soil steaming at 100°C

Sheet steaming at 100°C is in the Netherlands by far the most employed method owing to its small demand of labour.
The results of supplementary research after the publication in "Groenten en Fruit", 3–2–65, are given.

For the future we expect that the stationary dug in pipe system offers a better method because the soil layer, which is 100°C, is thicker and because of the steam is supplied below.
Some experiments are discussed.
One experiment is running fine for four years now and the applied material, polypropylene, seems to answer our expectations.
