Abstract
In two laboratory experiments, the suitability of several rapid methods for the assessment of the soil Nmin-content was evaluated in comparison to the standard Nmin-method.
Only the chemical analysis (both laboratory or reflectometric methods) of soil, properly sampled and pre-treated, proved to be appropriate for calculating the nitrogen fertilizer requirements based on the N-demand of plants.
