Abstract
The incidence of diseases in processing tomato crops across the growing regions in Australia was established and ranked during surveys conducted over three production seasons.
Powdery mildew was identified as the disease with the highest incidence at approximately 60% in one area.
Bacterial speck was ranked second in importance, with an incidence of approximately 7% in one season.
All other diseases observed had incidence of less than 2% each season.
There was a suspicion that trickle irrigation methods were affecting the incidence of powdery mildew.
