Abstract
The design and operation of a pneumatically operated pressurised fluid drill is described, together with experiments which show that very little damage was sustained by the seeds during drilling even when seeds with radicles longer than 10 mm were used.
Experiments also showed that the spacing distribution of several crops obtained with this drill is comparable with conventional thin line seeding drills.
The commercial use of such a drill is discussed.
