Abstract
In the present study, the relationships among the shoot, leaf and fruit growth of 4 Turkish fig (Ficus carica L.) cultivars (Sarılop, Bursa Siyahı, Beyaz Orak and Bardakçı) were investigated in a 10 year-old fig orchard in Antalya, Turkey.
The parameters (young shoot length, leaf length, fruit diameter, fruit length etc.) were examined from the beginning of vegetation to harvest time.
A positive correlation was found between shoot and leaf growth and fruit development.
Shoot and leaf growth slowed down depending on cultivar as fruit maturation progressed.
