PHYSICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF HORTICULTURAL SUBSTRATES

In the past 15 years much work has been done at national level in many countries to improve and standardize the methods for physical characterization of horticultural substrates.

Thirteen laboratories expressed to participate in an inter-laboratory testing of physical methods.
From the results obtained from seven laboratories we can say that the figures are tremendous different for the same substrates.
This means that no correlation can be calculated between the different methods.
