Abstract
Because of the demand of different people from the horticultural business we set up a study to use composted bark as a horticultural substrate.

Several growth experiments with Cordyline terminalis, Ficus cyathistipula and Calathea makoyana are carried out.

The results show that this barkcompost can be used as a substitute for the normal used substrates for most of the hot house plants.
