EFFECT OF NOVEL ORGANIC/MINERAL BIOSTIMULATORS ON FRUIT QUALITY PARAMETERS IN APPLE

The paper presents the results of three experiments conducted on apple tree cultivars ‘Jonagold Decosta’, ‘Golden Delicious’ and ‘Gala Must’ with the use of the following three novel organic/mineral preparations for regulating fruit set – Bioczos (garlic extract) in a mixture with Potassium soap, Iłołupki (mineral product – diatomite powder) and LG 221 (mixture of vegetable extracts). A reduction was found in the extent of russeting on apples as a result of multiple spray treatments of the trees with a mixture of Bioczos and Potassium soap or with Iłołupki.
The effect depended on the dose of the preparations and the apple cultivar.
The preparation LG 221 distinguished itself with a very good effect on fruit size and a reduction in russeting.
