Abstract
In Emilia Romagna, Italy, 15% of strawberry cultivated surface is managed by an organic cultivation system.
This cultivation system is more challenging than the IPM system, so the cultivar choice, good agronomic management (e.g., tunnel Veronese to enhance marketable yield), and suitable type of plants (cold-stored plants) are all very important factors.
CSSAA-Martorano 5 has carried out research and experimentation in Romagna since 1998, testing from 10 to 14 varieties and selections every year to respond to the needs of producers.
