Abstract
Shuttleworth and Wallace (SW) model was used to estimate latent heat flux of irrigated sweet cherry orchard trained on to Hungarian spindle, located in Hungary, in Soroksár (47°38LN; 19°14LE). The ratio (Kt) of transpiration (measured by sap flow system) and actual evapotranspiration (calculated by SW) were determined for the vegetation period in 2009. Cherry trees were budded on different rootstocks, on to semi-dwarfing GiSeLA 6, and on to moderatevigor Korponay.
Kt showed typical monthly variability; in May, at ripening time ranged 0.7-0.9, after harvesting time, in June, Kt decreased below 0.5-0.6. In July and in August increased again to 0.6-0.8.
