Abstract
In growing season, one year old grafted trees of diploid and tetraploid sour jujube Xingtai 0604 were studied and compared in extension shoot number, curvature degree of secondary shoot, diameter of flower bud and pollen, length and width of mature leaf, leaf color, leaf margin, length and width of guard cells of stoma.
The results showed that tetraploid has stronger branching ability, much bigger flower bud, leaf, stoma and pollen than diploid.
The tetraploid germplasm has great potential to become a superior cultivar in the near future.
