Abstract
For the control of a glasshouse heating system with lower and upper heating pipes an adaptive split-range control algorithm is presented.
The digital heating system control is basically a discrete PI control of the glasshouse temperature.
The gain of a simple model of the heating dynamics is estimated on-line using a "least squares like gradient" identification method (5), and used to tune the PI algorithm.
