Abstract
The energy consumption of greenhouses depends mainly on the kind of covering material, the air-tightness of the house, the kind of heating system, the greenhouse equipment, irrigation system etc.
To find out the influences of these factors on climate and heat consumption of greenhouses, measurements have been carried out in greenhouses of horticultural firms and in experimental greenhouses of the institute.
The results are shown as a basis for greenhouse control algorithms.
