Abstract
EnSpray 99 mineral oil has good efficacy against first instar Pseudaulacaspis pentagona and its residues prevented crawler settlement for approximate 12 days after oil application.
Oil application was safe when applied to Hongyang kiwifruit to control P. pentagona at the first generation 1st instar (4-18 days after fruit set). 1% oil application during the second generation crawler peak (67-74 days after fruit set) caused 3.6-17.6% speckling damage to the fruit skin, and no damage occurred following oil application 83 days after fruit set. 1% oil application on the first generation 1st instar and later the second generation 1st instar reduced the number of P. pentagona infested fruit and safe to Hongyang kiwifruit.
