Abstract
Biomethanation is a biological treatment widely used to reduce the pollution load of wet waste biomass.
In this study we present the results obtained from extensive laboratory and pilot scale trials on anaerobic digestion using tomato industry waste as a substrate.
The results obtained demonstrate that biomethanation is an effective technology from both environmental and economic points of view.
