Development of a program for the De La Salle University School of Agronomy: experience at the Pro-Niño Leonés school

Abstract
This document describes a solidarity collaboration program of the School of Agronomy with the Pro-Niño Leonés school, a campus located in one of the marginal areas in León, Gto.
Mexico, this school serves children and young people from scarce resources.
It is a school of primary education in the morning and secondary education in the afternoon.
The university participants were agroecology students from the fifth semester of the Agricultural Engineer in Production program, who were sensitized to the theory of the course.
The program is based on the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, as well as the development of strategies for urban agriculture.
The program includes several components such as awareness, education and selection of specific activities to be carried out at the Fundación Pro-Niño Leonés School, to guarantee that the aid was productive.
The activities carried out were the establishment of an agroecological garden, a greenhouse for plant production, and participation in various activities to improve the school: painting, signaling, arrangement of other gardens.
So far, with the activities carried out, it is intended to enter a new and splendid culture that helps the lives of the students of the campus.
