Abstract
The effect of different hardening techniques on tomato seedling growth, chilling resistance and fruit yield after transplanting in cold greenhouse is reported here.
Hardening was achieved by water withholding, brushing the shoot or raising the seedlings in nursery greenhouse with low temperature or split-night temperature regime.
The reduction of watering and temperature conditioning increased chilling resistance of seedlings without affecting growth rate in nursery and fruit yield of mature plants in cold greenhouse.
