Abstract
The pathogenicity of eight isolates of Phytopathora fragariae were evaluated on 13 strawberry genotypes and then separated into six distinct pathogenic races by their ability to infect and produce oospores in the roots of a set of differential strawberry hosts.
The genotypes Aberdeen, Climax, Siletz, Surecrop, Tennessee Beauty and the selections (or clones) of MD 683 and Del Norte are proposed as a set of international differential genotypes for identifying races of Phytophthora fragariae.
