Abstract
Technical improvements and progress in information technology enable an efficient control of the greenhouse climate.
Set points for climatic factors as light, heat CO2 and humidity are most often obtained from preliminary growth experiments or plant growth models but are not based upon the actual plant response.
Consequently sub-and supra-optimal climatic conditions for plant growth in a greenhouse are detected far to late or never.
