Abstract
A comparative study between two plant supporting systems tube and tissue, for hydroponics cropping of four varieties of leek (Allium porrum L.), namely, Bluvetia, Snowstar, Bleustar, and Castelstar was carried out.
The tube-planting method performed significantly better than the tissue planting, and Snowstar performed better than the other three varieties.
Other plant supporting systems that emphasize on increasing the production, improving the quality of the product, and automating transplanting and harvesting, can be tried in future study.
