Abstract
A system was developed to get, maintain and propagate virus-free planting material for carnation adapted to the conditions created at the Glasshouse Complex Codlea.
In the first cycle application of this system, virus-free plants obtained by thermotherapy, meristem cultures and selection could be maintained with a low infection level till the last step of propagation.
Data regarding the evolution of infection level at different carnation varieties during the application of the system are given.
