Abstract
A survey is presented of land ownership, changes in occupation, price system and commercialisation in Poland.
A number of problems concerning economic research, with special reference to labour use in horticulture, are discussed and relate both to national and regional organisation and to individual farm planning.
Labour standards for 373 operations in horticulture have been determined and are continually adjusted.
Investigations of labour use in various field cultivation methods and differing glasshouse techniques are carried out, and include assessment of the introduction of new methods.
