Abstract
Ten cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) cultivars were propagated by in vitro culture techniques using a lowbush blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium Ait.) tissue culture medium.
The medium was tested over three subcultures and with each subculture an increase in multiplication rate was observed.
Cultivars differed in their shoot multiplication rate, with Bergman producing the most shoots per explant and Pilgrim the least.
Increasing the concentration of 2iP from 20 to 80 mg/l resulted in greater shoot proliferation.
