Abstract
Eight stages of rose development were defined from initiation of the axillary bud to stage of full complement of the floral parts.
The aim was to provide a ‘base-line’ of bud development and to correlate external (visible) development with internal (meristematic) development so that different treatments could be imposed at specific developmental stages.
