A RADIO -CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEM FOR AGRICULTURAL UNMANNED VEHICLE

It is well known that anti-parasite treatments required for greenhouse cultivation, are presently carried out in different ways, but a close direct spraying on leafs, is not today commonly pursued as this may represent a possible source of disease for operators in case of skin-contact and/or aerosol-breathing.
After extensive analyses about possible different ways of facing the problem, not involving too complicated, costly and delicate devices, a solution was however found, consisting in properly modifying a small agricultural tractor (originally conceived for manned general-purpose operations, both with on board and rear walking operator), by introducing a radio remote control and a video-audio monitoring system, both to be safely managed from a comfortable sheltered station.
The above systems have already been realised and successfully tested on a prototype vehicle.
Further extensive tests in the field are already planned and will start as soon as possible.
