Abstract
Acting as a liaison between breeders and growers since 1964, the Canadian Ornamental Plant Foundation (COPF) has achieved a high level of compliance and co-operation with Plant Breeders’ Rights in Canada.
How this was achieved, methods of protection, plant database management, commercialization, and how to proceed in an ever-changing climate of patents and PBRs are discussed.
