Abstract
Histological studies were made of apricot selections
and several late blooming apricot cultivars to determine
time of meiosis and time of fully formed pollen grains.
The time of first bloom was also noted.
These data were
used to estimate the number of weighted chilling hours
needed to satisfy rest and the number of growing degree
hours (after meiosis) required for first bloom.
