Abstract
This paper deals with the effects of different parameters involved in plant nitrogen nutrition, on the nitrate content in the carrot root.
Level and forms of mineral nitrogen supply, light intensity, activity of leaves have been taken in account in factorial experiments.
The effect of internal factors such as stage of development and varietal comportment has been tested.
Results are discussed with a view to the improvement of the quality of root production with respect to their nitrate content.
