Abstract
With a light yellow rind, transparent flesh and sweet taste, Punggur langsat (Lansium domesticum) from the Regency of Kubu Raya has become a popular fruit in West Kalimantan province.
Around 146,000 trees have been planted.
With productivity approaching 70-80 kg per tree, in 2010, more than 7,250 tonnes were produced.
There are two dominant market chains for Punggur langsat: from growers collector agents – distributors retailers – consumers in West Kalimantan; and from growers – collector agents – wholesalers – distributors – retailers – consumers in other markets.
Prices at the farm gate vary from Rp 2,500 – 13,000/kg during the harvesting period from September to November.
