Abstract
A survey of credits (refunds) by a major California flower wholesaler demonstrated a seasonal fluctuation in the volume of credits as a percentage of sales.
Credits over a four year period averaged 1.4% of total sales.
The breakdown of credits by source, commodity and season, economic factors leading to changes in the percentage of credit requests and commercial methods for reducing credits are discussed.
