Abstract
An investigation was set up for tomato production in a plastic covered greenhouse in Adana, Turkey.
Irrigation water was applied with three separate irrigation methods on clay-loam and fine sandy-loam soils in fall and spring.
Based on the experimental results it has been found that spitter-sprinkler irrigation on the fine sandy-loam, drip irrigation on the clay-loam soil have resulted more yield in spring.
The irrigation with drip and perforated pipe have produced the highest vitamin C content in spring season and the highest dry matter has been obtained in the soil of clay-loam texture.
It has appeared that the irrigation methods have no effect on the dry matter of tomato.
