Abstract
Rootstock is increasingly a key factor for plant growth and development, fruit yields, and quality.
China has plenty of germplasm resources of Malus, and considerable efforts have been made for apple rootstock breeding over the last 60 years in China.
Here we describe the advances in apple rootstocks breeding and domestic rootstocks in China.
At the end, we will discuss some current research on the dwarfing rootstock breeding.
