Abstract
This paper describes the multiple perspectives and methods that can be employed to evaluate the contribution of urban agriculture (UA) to sustainability, as a complex system to be approached from a single discipline.
From the initial research questions regarding the potential benefits of UA as new local supply-chains to the assessment of what UA represents for the society in terms of perceptions and acceptance, this invited talk addresses the necessity to employ an interdisciplinary framework to evaluate UA without missing pieces of the puzzle.
