Abstract
Stephanotis floribunda is a tropical flowering vine that requires high night temperatures and long days for flowering.
Greenhouse grown plants that have excess or dense vine growth are less apt to flower because of the shading of lower leaves.
A severe pruning in spring develops new vine growth that is receptive to an extended photoperiod for flower induction.
An intensity of 320–2200 lux from incandescent lamps for 4 hrs each night starting in October is effective in the production of winter flowers.
