Abstract
Light energy is an important environmental factor for greenhouse rose production.
Particularly, during the fall, winter and spring seasons when rose yields are drastically reduced due to poor natural light conditions, especially in the northern latitude regions.
The paper presents information from university and commercial installations on the use of High Pressure Sodium lamps as the supplemental light source in conjunction with other environmental factors to increase the productivity and quality of greenhouse roses.
