Abstract
Filmgreenhouses have advantages and disadvantages.
One of the biggest advantage is the cladding of large areas with only one sheet of light filmmaterial.
Therefore heavy supporting elements of the construction are not necessary.

One disadvantage is the low thermal resistance of plastic-films and therefore the higher heatconsumption for producing plants in filmgreenhouses during the wintertime.

Therefore new filmgreenhouses use multilayer cladding-systems for energy saving.

The question is what happens with the lighttransmissivity in the greenhouse, using a light construction and a multi-layer cladding-system.
