Abstract
The greenhouse industry is expanding rapidly in Southern European countries.
Due to the favorable meteorological conditions, low cost unheated greenhouses can be used to cultivate crops from late summer through to the end of the spring season.

Very little information is available on the microclimate that exist under these simple plastic covered structures.
The paper describes the wind, temperature and humidity fluctuationes, radiation and evaporation that characterizes the greenhouse environment in the Almerìa area.
