Abstract
Conductive, convective, radiative (solar and thermal) and latent heat energy exchanges in a greenhouse are computed in terms of the outer temperature, wind speed and solar direct and diffuse radiation.
Comparison for passive and heated greenhouse is carried out between two types of single glass cover : the commonly used horticultural glass and the low emissivity glass.
The latter appears as highly energy sparing for clear sky days.
