THE ECOLOGIC DIFFERENTIATION OF CUCUMBERS WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE BREEDING FOR PLANT GROWING STRUCTURES AND FOR ELABORATION OF A CULTIVAR AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY

In breeding and developing cultivar agricultural technologies the great diversity of climatic conditions and of greenhouse and hotbed types should be taken into account with a view to disclosing more fully the varietal potentialities.
The study of the parent material and the development of the cultivar agricultural technology should extend to the ecology as well.
The investigations on cucumbers of great cultivar diversity, conducted in the Vegetable Experiment Station at the K.A. Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, Moscow, made it possible to choose promising parent breeding material and to determine the agricultural technology of a number of cucumber cultivars.
