Abstract
A considerable number of seedlings should be produced for the extensive early field vegetable growing.
The most extensive expert knowledge and expensive installations are required in seedling production.
Therefore large-scale seedling production in single units was started to cover the demands of many big farms.

Simultaneously we proceeded to develop plant growing structures (such as glasshouses, hotbeds) suitable for vegetable forcing under the climatic and national economy conditions of Hungary and to develop a method for their economic utilization.
