Abstract
N-Gel™ polymers have been developed for agricultural fluid-drilling.
Factors to consider in gel selection for seed-additive-gel combinations include gel makeup, rheology, temperature and pH stability, additive compatibility and oxygen diffusion.
These areas have been evaluated and reviewed for N-Gel Type H. Certain gels, like N-Gel, have been known to exhibit low phytotoxicity during storage of pregerminated seed in gel.
Possible mechanisms will be offered to explain this unexpected benefit from the gel.
