Abstract
An experiment of solar heating was carried out in a glasshouse with floor area of 1033m2 from December 1984 to March 1985. PCM(phase change material) of 5000kg with a melting point of 14–21°C and a heat of fusion of 40cal/g was installed and tomatoes were grown in the greenhouse.
As the results, it was estimated that approximately seventy percent of oil consumption was saved.
