Abstract
Investigations of metallic trace elements in medicinal plants are very scarce.
This paper will provide some data about the basic levels of Cu, Mn, Zn, Fe, Pb and Cd in various herb and spice plants grown in different regions of Austria.
The results are compared with reported levels for other crop plants and discussed in the light of possible environmental contaminations.
