Abstract
ENEL (the National Board of Electricity, in Italy) is setting up during the last years a multipurpose programme dealing with agriculture and aquaculture use of the thermoelectric power plant cooling waters.

As a part of this programme, in South Italy, some technological (greenhouse heating through buried pipes and water-to-air heat exchangers) and agronomical aspects (growing of different ornamental pot plants) related to the use of low enthalpy waters (20 to 26°C), were studied.

The results of two year experiments carried out on these aspects in plastic tunnels devoted to growing in pot of Aucuba, Cordyline, Croton, Dieffenbachia, Dracaena, Euonymus, Ficus benjamina, and to propagation of Sansevieria, are reported.
