Abstract
The objective of this study was to characterize the morphology of 37 plants of the genera Scheelea, Attalea and Orbignya in the collection of the Experimental Nursery of FCAV-UNESP. Phenological data of the reproductive phase, mainly of leaves, fruits and male inflorescences, were recorded.
Although data were not sufficient for species identification, some similarities were found at the generic level: joined and divergent leaflets, and fruits with fleshy and fibrous mesocarp in Scheelea; parallel leaflets taking a perpendicular position in relation to the rachis in Orbignya; occurrence of characteristics of Scheelea and Orbignya in Attalea.
