Abstract
Studies on the seasonal dynamics of flight in Bombus terrestris L. were conducted in the region of the Dobroudja Wheat and Sunflower Institute during 1989–1991. From the beginning of March till the end of October we observed the phenology of blooming plants and collected bees.
The seasonal dynamics of flight for this species was determined by grouping the collected specimens by months. B. terrestris flies in this region from about the 20th of March to the 30th of October.
Maximum flight occurred during June and July.
The flight duration of B. terrestris varied yearly from 169 to 226 days.
This species falls into the group of bees with a long flight period.
